A Letter To White Boy
Dear white boy,

First of all, I would like to ask you some very simple questions. Are we not human? Are we not similar? So what makes us different? Is it the amount of melanin in your skin that made you holier, better, the more civilized species among us?

No, we're the same. Homosapiens. Yes.

Baltimore was beautiful. The neighborhood was magical and the sky shines bright. But none of that means anything to me. Those sparkles in the night sky does not touch my heart anymore. You know why, white boy? The hatred in your eyes towards my skin color kills Baltimore.

It's sad, you know? It's one thing to ruin one's exuberance youth and experiences by calling them "nigger". The hatred that you blindly follow is upsetting and disconcerting, because that is exactly what society told you and your family. The prejudice. How could someone as young as you carry the burden of aversion and display such revulsion so strongly towards my race never fail to puzzles me.

Why differentiate? What's with the prejudice? Does that help in making the world a better place for everyone? I know you might be too young to understand the purpose of life, but I think you parents should know that, and taught you what's good and bad from the start. Taught you how you should behave around people, and ultimately, how to contribute towards society and also focusing on how to make the world a better place. So, the big question is, how does sticking out your tongue and calling me a "nigger" will help and partake in that ambition? No white boy, you did not benefit to the mission at all.

Racism, prejudice, discrimination and bias are all ugly words carrying uglier meaning, distorting our society with some sick way of thinking and acting. Though your word and action are still considered mildly harassing but it needs to stop. The society needs to stop this ideology that some races are better than others. Racism, needs to be stopped.

My opinion on stopping racism and prejudice? Stop talking about it.

Welcome
